HAFFWAY is the artist half of producer & writer Sam Westhoff, creating what he calls "folkternative" tunes. What began as an accidental, but also therapeutic outlet for Sam’s creative burnout turned into a new artistic chapter. The first song, “I Don’t Need You Anymore,” paved the way for HAFFWAY’s debut EP, Prequel, a project that not only resonated with fans but also attracted like-minded artists to Sam’s production door. By summer 2023, HAFFWAY was splitting time between his burgeoning artist career and producing/writing for others like Bo Staloch, Cece Coakley & Sam MacPherson. 2024 marked a breakout year with the release of three standout singles—Bells, Burden, and Whatever He’s On—and his acclaimed sophomore EP, Lady Lou, which also brought on a deluxe edition featuring collaborations with Wilderado, Trousdale, Cece Coakley, Keyland and others. His track “Right Here” landed a coveted sync on the Grey’s Anatomy season premiere, further solidifying his rising status. HAFFWAY brought these releases to life on tour with artists like Brent Cobb, Elle Coves, and Noah Floersch, earning new fans at every stop. The momentum has continued into 2025 with the release of new singles "Bones Sleep ft. Bo Staloch" (which was also recently featured in an episode of Grey's Anatomy), "Better If Worse", "Golden ft. Brent Cobb", and "Drunk On Easter", all of which will be featured on HAFFWAY's upcoming album "Wither", due out in February 2026. He's been busy on the road, performing at Sundance Film Festival and on tour with Wilder Woods, and soon will be playing his first festival slot at SummerFest, opening for Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners in Europe and opening for Dermot Kennedy in the US. On top of all this, Sam has been a part of stellar releases on the writing/production side, with cuts such as "Blink Twice" by Shaboozey, "Abiline" by Hunter Metts and "Swimming In The Ocean" by Wilder Woods, as well as future releases on the horizon for artists like Dermot Kennedy, Matt Maeson, Hunter Metts, Noah Kahan, Cece Coakley, Noah Levine and many more. Sam Westhoff’s dual talent as HAFFWAY and a sought-after producer is undeniable. Jump on the bandwagon before it leaves the station—HAFFWAY is just getting started.
